How To Count Words For Classified Ads
- Hyphenated words count as two words. (i.e. low-budget = 2 words)
- Phone numbers (or email address) count as one word.
- Websites count as one word.
- Complete street or rural addresses count as two words (i.e. 123 Main St. = two words.)
- City, state, & zip code count as one word EACH (i.e. Los Angeles, CA 91235 = 3 words.)
- P.O. Box with number counts as THREE words. (i.e. P.O. Box 427 = 3 words.)
